The appointed of the board is in accordance with Section 4 of the First Schedule of the ENPF Order of 1974 which stipulates the different stakeholders who are represented in the board ,the term of office of three years for the board and gives the minister the powers to appoint the chairperson and deputy chairperson of the board.

It is worth noting that the ENPF is at a precarious stage of transforming into a pension, a process the new board is expected to carefully steer by engaging with several stakeholders including the legislature, workers ,business and other parts of society.
